Especially for those of you living in Michigan! I was listening to Frank Beckmann this morning on WJR 760AM and Frank had a guest on who just launched a new website to help people figure out the true value of their home and how to make sure that the city assessor is not over-assessing your property. Apparently, many assessors stopped assessing in September 2008. And you know what happened since then, don't you? (besides the fact that it got a bit chilly) Home values plummeted (a short story on why is here if interested). This may not be reflected (may not? Come on, who am I kidding? Will not!) in the assessment statement that we will be getting shortly. The statement is supposed to reflect your home value as of December 31, 2008!!!
